My computer has random lock ups when playing Asherons's call. The only IRQ conflcit I have is with my Creative Labs Sound Blaster Live Value card and the USB controller. I have flashed the Bios to QN on the mb. There is an open IRQ but the stinkin USB refuses to take it. If I assign the PCI slot for the sound blaster to another value the USB follows, even if I move the sb to another slot. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! Anyone found a solution to this?? I wish I could assign the USB controller it's own IRQ. This is driving me nuts!!

let's see, the usb controller uses the same IRQ as pci slots and 5. pci 1 shares with AGP. only PCI 2 and 3 are independent, and guess where my sb live is on my BM6 (essentially the same).

That's the exact piece of information I was looking for, thanks a lot Mday!! I swapped my Realmagic card over to slot 5 and my SB Live over to slot 2 so it has it's own IRQ. Let's hope that fixes the lock ups!!

My SB Live! and USB share an IRQ with no problems on a Rev.1.0 BH6, NV BIOS. Works great - the sweet sound of the V12 Ferrari in GPL resonates as I motor around Monza using my FF wheel. :D Couldn't be a more difficult test of the two items sharing than that, and no dropped frames at all.

Yeah, Abit says which slots should be used for devices that need their own IRQ. I assume Mday knows what the hell they're talking about. Anyhoo, I followed their instructions when I first built it and put my Live! on PCI 3 I think.
