is there such a thing? i know it wouldn't be too fast, but all i want it for it burning audio, and i have no free 5" bays(stupid Dell micro tower...) how fast can they be?

i'd go for firewire but i only have 4PCI slots and they're all filled 🙁 4x shouldn't be too bad for burning cd's, i'll have to go and do some price checking 🙂 thanx guys!

When USB 2.0 starts comming out on motherboards, we should start to see faster CD burners. Maybe even USB hard drives. I think USB 2 has something like 400 mbits bandwidth.

Firewire (ok IEEE 1394 - Firewire is Mac) is another technology that I hope starts to kick its way into the market. Currently its main purpose is for Digital Video, but I'm sure more devices will be made for it.
