I ripped this from another deal forum. Was about to purchase one last time, but was sold out by the time I got to it.

www.snapgone.com

MP3 FM Modulator - Turns any USB Memory Drive into a MP3 Player for $22.99 + $4.99 Shipping.

The picture of the item looks like the VR3 Modulators. The product description on the website mentioned the Mesa MP3 modulator, but the only one I was able to find was on TigerDirect for $50.

Wal-Mart has the VR3 for $30, and Costco has it for $25. The cheapest VR3 on Froogle was about $27 + shipping.

This site is like a woot-clone, where its only one deal a day. I bought some LED lights from them two weeks ago, came pretty quickly. No complaints there.

Enjoy!

Walmart sells this thing (in the Automotive department). At least they used to a couple of months ago.

The thing actually had better FM transmission performance than a few others I tried. Wasn't too bad for the price.

My brother tried it. The biggest annoyance was the fact that it does not remember FM frequency selection (which is limited to a few choices in 88-90 MHz range) and volume/gain settings between uses.

Things you must supply:

* One car with available 12 Volt adapter - Your Mom's car will do
* Working car stereo in said car
* MP3 player or USB memory drive

hehehe...

Its definitely selective Wal-Mart that carries it. I went down to my local wal-mart and costco to find this thing when I found out about it, never could find it.

I just ordered two for $52 - Not bad.

From what I been hearing, it depends on the type of car you have, where the attenna is located, and the city you live in. If you live in LA or somewhere where all the 87 ~ 89 FM frequencies are taken, you'll have a hard time getting good receptions..

Wait My Ipod plays perfectly fine on any station using my ipod. But on a USB flash stick it sounds weak ans staticy. IS it becaue there is no amplification like on an ipod?

If this is just a little "Mr Microphone" type FM transmitter I have one of the Belkins, and we don't use it. It was very sensitive to the input level, but once the volume was set it seemed "ok", but the cheesy cassette adapter works MUCH better with no issues except for a cable and doesn't need a battery etc..

That could be. I know iTune has a function where it adjusts the MP3s sound level to all be the same. Back in the day when MP3s first came out, I remember people were encodng it at different levels, where one MP3 would be blasting, and the other would be really soft.

It's probably the Mp3 file issue and how it was encoded...
