Usb cable modem router?

I was just wondering if there is such a device that I can plug my USB cable modem into and split the internet connection between two computers. For some reason my network is having trouble and I would just rather buy a router, but i have a USB cable modem, which i had not heard of before i got it installed a few days ago. Please, any advice/help is welcomed and thanked.
 
You are out of luck.

Current USB ports must have a computer on one side; you can not connect a USB to Ethernet between Modem, and Router. USB needs the CPU, and Drivers, drivers can go only onto computer storage. In about 18 months, an independent USB (drivers embedded in ROM) devices will start to hit the Market, but right now "no can do".

You have two options:

1. Use your Router as switch only, and use NAT software (Sygate is capable to deal with USB).

2. Buy an Ethernet Cable modem.
