I've used extension cables in 6, 15, and 25 foot lengths, and have had no issues with any of them. Then again, I was using bar code reasons and input devices... nothing terribly intensive. :-\

I have like a 6 ft extension. It's those freebies at conferences. The ones that roll up like a tape measure. They have those for ethernet too. Anyways my printer was 2 ft off and I used one on the original 6 ft cable. Worked fine.

Never had a problem with any USB extension cable.. I've even used really thin USB 1.1 extension cables with a USB 2.0 hub and a USB 2.0 hard drive attached to it.. It worked at USB 2.0 speeds just fine.
