I have a question. About 6 months ago i purchased a Logitech wireless desktop 3000 laser which is a wireless keyboard and mouse. I hate it. I play enough games that even though I was hoping I wouldn't notice enough of a difference with the wireless, I do. I'm looking at maybe picking up a Logitech G15 keyboard and G5 mouse, but most keyboard and mouse cables because of where my pc is located get a little tight. Does using a USB extension cause any problems, either with lag or with power (I understand the G15 uses a lot of USB power)? I also saw that the G15 has USB plugs on it, does anyone know if running a gaming mouse like the G5 through the USB on the keyboard poses any problems?

Thanks!

i would run both the k/b and mouse from the back of the comp(motherboard) just for best performance.

the keyboard is only USB 1.1 but a mouse is going to use next to nothing, if there was a drop of performance hooking the mouse to the KB I'd be dumbfounded.

I've got an MX510 working through a USB keyboard hub, and it's even operating with a 430Hz polling rate (upped to 500Hz from the default 125Hz, the MX510 tops out at 430Hz). Although I directly plug my Razer mice into the computer as their 7 foot cords can really make a difference.
