So I want to pick up some Micro USB cables for charging our various cell phones. I'm looking at Monoprice and see they have lots of various levels of cables...

Does it really matter which ones I get if it's jsut for charging my phone? Will their "Premium" ones charge any faster than the cheap ones if they all say:
Guarantees 100% compliance with USB 2.0 specifications

Examples (all are 6')
6ft USB 2.0 A Male to Micro 5pin Male 28/28AWG Cable - $0.81
6ft USB 2.0 A Male to Micro 5pin Male 28/24AWG Cable w/ Ferrite Core (Gold Plated) - $1.40
Premium USB to Micro USB Charge & Sync Cable 6ft - $2.96

For charging the cheap ones are generally fine, but some may not have "100% compliance with USB 2.0 specifications". Who cares? Well, you can run into data transfer problems with some cheap cables. For charging a phone I wouldn't worry about it for the most part, but it should be noted that some of the connectors on the cheap ones are kinda crappy too. YMMV.

If your main use is charging, get as short a cable and as low a gauge as you can. I made the mistake of ordering long cable. Damn thing gets warm.
