I want to have a whole separate copy of XP for one picky application, so seems the best way is to get a USB hard drive and then select that as my boot drive when i want to boot up to this whole separate install of XP.
Unfortunately windows xp was not designed to be bootable from a usb device as the way it load the usb drivers and such.
there is an attempt to get windows xp to install to and boot from as usb Here but I have never been able to get it to work correctly across different machines that ive tried.
It installs but fails to load windows
