I posted this in another thread, but it is more pertinent here maybe... so here goes:

does the speed of the USB bus fluctuate with the FSB ? My ASUS board reported some odd speeds through the USB bus, which caused a couple of my devices to act oddly. Are there general issues using USB devices on an overclocked system? Should I stick with stock speed if I want to use my keyboard, scanner, mouse etc.. reliably?

I believe it is standard the usb speed is set through te pci bus and therefore with implementation of an agp/pci lock I don't see the need...

Some ppl swear by usb disabled to get high ocs....However this may because this was more of an issue prior to agp/pci locks and ppl are creatures of habit. Also I have heard this being more related to legacy USB and disbaling this in the bios still leaves USB support and gives stability that some swear by.....


I personally never have turned off USB and have been running USB priniters, scanners, optical mouse, downloading cameras and camcorders, mass storage controllers and I have no issues at 292fsb and 3.5ghz with my system...
