Although I can't answer your question I was always curious what's the difference between a USB 2.0 8pin and a USB 3.0 8pin cable... Maybe someone can tell me why you need a case with USB 3 support and not just a regular USB extension cable?
4 pins and 9 pins on the motherboard are for two USB 2.0 ports typically. The reason the motherboard has 9 pins is to key the connector so you don't accidentally plug it in the wrong way, and only 8 of the pins are active.
The LanBoy Air in the other thread in this subforum has a single USB3 port up in the front of the case. It looks like a very good case if you don't mind the styling and airiness of it.
This Case Has USB 3. But you would need a Mother Board Like This to take advantage of it. (unless you have USB3 on your backplate and are just going to rout a cable back there...
