Few thoughts not included in the article:
1. As this was my first roundup review, I now have a far, far greater appreciation for the hard work and effort put into these articles by Anand and the other editors. Benchmarking multiple products in multiple tests is very time-consuming.
2. USB 3.0 flash drives can be seriously FAST. The Super Talent RC8 and Patriot Supersonic Magnum are pretty damn impressive. The more affordable USB 3.0 flash drives are also compellingly quick.
3. Working directly with product manufacturers gave me a new perspective on the tech community. TBH I used to view tech products as faceless stuff made by faceless workers shipped from monolithic warehouses. The closest I'd ever come to putting a face on tech were the FedEx and UPS deliver people. 😛 Not anymore. There are a lot of just plain nice folks working for these tech companies, and it was a pleasure working with people at ADATA, Patriot, Mushkin, and Super Talent. (I didn't interact directly with anyone at Kingston.)
Hope you find the roundup useful!
