USB 2 unavailable

I just put a new MB 865gbf with p4 2.4 and 2gb RAM with Win XP pro. I just cant seem to get USB 2 speeds. When I plug in a USB 2 device I get a massage saying that this is a USB 2 device and will run faster on a USB 2 port. I have enabled high speed in the BIOS and downloaded the latest drivers too. Any suggestions?

Update Winblows to SP2 then try it!

I have the same issue with my laptop and intermittently with my desktop, all new within the last two months. SO I think it is just luck of the draw with what the media is and what the weather is like when you plug in the device. 😛

Yes. I installed the chipset dfriver and I do see an enhanced usb controller in the device manager. In fact my pop up screen points to that when it says plug in the usb 2 device to one of these ports

If there's no ! mark beside it then it should be good to go...so in rare ocasstions it may be the cable/wiring...
