this utility can be of help..you cannot get this from the author's website anymore but it is an excellent lil program ..for now..

IIRC PCWIZARD is freeware and tell you more about your system than you ever wanted to know

I believe if you look in your device manager and it shows standard enhanced PCI to USB host controller you have usb 2.0
