USB 2.0 running?

Likely a stupid question, but a short search on my own didn't help:

About to take my HD out of the freezer and put it into my external USB 2.0 enclosure....keeping fingers crossed I can just get my important pics off of it.

Thing is, I obviously gotta make sure its running 2.0 when I do the xfer. Problem is I'm not sure if iv'e really ever got USB 2.0 running on my Abit IC7 for some reason.

Running XP Pro w/ SP 2.

Any way in windows I can confirm my USB speed, or any other progs that will check it for me? I think I remember 3DMark having info like that...but wasnt sure if I could use a smaller program/windows itself.

Thanks

SP2 has usb 2 drivers. they would be installed if the usb 2.0 ports were enabled in bios
your manual will tell you which ports are usb 2.0, or if they all are.
Device manager uder root hub will tell you if this device is working properly and what driversw are installed
or SiSoftSandra 2005

Thanks dude. Confirmed 2.0 was working using SiSoftSandra.

End of thread 😉

For future reference, USB2.0 is called "enhanced USB controller" or something of the sort in device manager, while USB1.1 doesnt have the word enhanced.
