USB 2.0 -Older computer case

I have an older computer case with front usb ports. My new motherboard has usb 2.0. Will my front ports be 2.0 if I connect them to my motherboard??

it depends on the quality of the front usb ports, as well as how they were designed. Sometimes it will work, sometimes not. Unfortunately without some rediculous equipment to test it (something consumers dont have, nor care to have), you cant test it unless you connect it and plug in a usb 1.1 or 2.0 device into it.
