USB 2.0 Not Being Recognized?

So I tried plugging my iPod Shuffle into one of the front ports of my new computer. I got this little bubble message telling me that the device will perform better in a USB 2.0 slot. I just double checked bot MSI and Antec's sites and both indicate that my motherboard (MSI Neo4 Platinum) and front ports on my case (Antec P160) are USB 2.0. What is going on here? Is there a driver, an update, or some setting that I'm not aware of?

Yep, we have a winner. I have to hot plug my USB keyboard & mouse sometimes in the front of my case to make them work.

What I saw in that thread was I should cut/disconnect a wire. Isn't there another way? I don't get why both MSI and Antec advertise USB 2.0, but they aren't working that way.

Judging by the number of users having problems with MSI/Antec combination, you'd think these 2 companies would have resolved the issue a long time ago, especially when the solution is so simple. I don't know if there is another way, but one snip of a wire and all my problems went away.

I really hate to do that. I think I'll do a little more digging, but may have to resort to snipping the wire.

Anyone else have a different solution that they have used and know that it worked?

Seems like either MSI or Antec made some changes, I recently put together my new computer with an MSI K8N Ultra and an Antec P160 and the front USB-ports work flawlessly, without wire-cutting. Just thought I'd let future buyers know there shouldn't be any need to worry=)
