I've noticed that my USB 2.0 cables are not labeled as 2.0. I can not see a difference between the newer 2.0 cables and the old 1.1 cables. Are they different? Can you get 2.0 speeds from jsut about any USB cable?

Thanks

Certified USB Hi-Speed cables assures that it will run @ that speed if connected properly with the required Hardware...as not all USB Low-Full Speed cables will run @ the Higher Data Rate....Esp. the older cheap ones

Cheap USB (1.1) cables might not have good enough shielding and/or conductivity to get High-Speed USB 2.0 through cleanly.

If you buy good quality cables then you should never have a problem. Hubs on the other hand are a different story.
