USA gets the Taurus; Australia gets the Falcon XR6 Turbo

I think it's pretty obvious why it's not in the US. $38k and 12mpg. That's SUV country, while a Taurus is $20k and 28mpg. I'm thinking the Aussies don't buy SUV's, but do indulge in V8 "saloon" cars. Oh... why are Americans so stupid sometimes?

Not even considering technology - just styling alone would do wonders for Ford here in the U.S. The interior and exterior of that Falcon is awesome. The Falcon is their mid-size sedan in Australia, with the Fiesta/Focus for the econo, Fairlane for the full-size. Not all Falcons cost $38K. If anything, that Falcon here in the US would be the 500 and would compete against the 300c, which would be almost step to step with it in terms of power.

There are different series for the Falcoln line. Falcon XT Sedan starts at $23,878 when converted to US dollars.

You should try watching the Speed channel instead of the Oxygen channel. Just once a week and you might learn something about cars.

Oh I forgot your:

That's just sad

When your doing nothing but 1/4 mile runs, 0-60 runs, and just plain old beating the crap out of it what do you expect?

The reason we don't get it here is RWD is dangerous and we are too stupid to be able to drive it. Its scary. Hopefully the new Chryslers sell well enough to change car makers minds.

WTF are you talking about? RWD isn't dangerous unless you are a moron. My car is RWD and so are thousands of other cars on the roads. I don't think the fact that it's RWD has anything to do with why it's not sold here.

I own an 89 5.0l mustang. I was being sarcastic and the general public does think its dangerous 🙂.
