Now to sit back and see how the tin foil hats spin this one.....
IMO the US was correct in walking out.

Pulls up and easy chair and a bowl of popcorn and a diet coke and waits....

UNITED NATIONS – The U.S. delegation walked out of the U.N. speech of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Thursday after he said some in the world have speculated that Americans were actually behind the Sept. 11 terror attacks, staged in an attempt to assure Israel's survival.

He did not explain the logic of that statement that was made as he attacked the U.S. wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The Iranian leader spoke of threats to burn the Quran by a small American church in Florida to mark the anniversary of the Sept. 11 terror attacks. Although that church backed down, several copycat burnings were posted on the Internet and broadcast in the Muslim world

He briefly touch on the four sets of sanctions imposed on his country by the United Nations over Tehran's refusal stop enriching uranium and to prove Iran is not trying to build an atomic bomb.

Some members of the Security Council have "equated nuclear energy with nuclear bombs," Ahmadinejad said.

He accused the United States of building up its nuclear arsenal instead of dismantling it and reiterated his call for a nuclear-free world.

I would of walked out too. I'm not fond of sitting around listening to crazy people say crazy things.

I view him like I do the insane of the right, a raving lunatic but one that for political retaliation needs to be listened to. Know thy enemy and you will know how to destroy him. Of course walking out is fine if it's part of just such a conscious plan. Listen also to see if you can make your enemy your friend. So much hate is based on misunderstanding and unexamined assumptions.

They should have thrown a shoe at him.

The CIA could have been much more creative than that. I hope. ;)

Although Immadinnerjacket is having so much trouble at home, he is just going to self-implode anyway.

Never really understood the benefit of walking out.

Yeah, one of the CLASSIC examples of the backfiring is when the Russians walked out of the Security Council meeting over Korea which allowed the remaining members to vote for UN military action which the Russians could and would have vetoed otherwise.

Remember, although the US bore the brunt of the effort, the "Korean War" was formally a United Nations police action. More than 10% of the UN forces' casualties were non-US.

I saw the interview he did last week with the cbs reporter and it was so funny. Every time she would try to corner him about a question it was like he lacked the comprehension to understand it and would reply with something totally unrelated.

I'm not sure if you are attempting to link the current walk out with the Korean War walkout or just giving an example, but I see absolutely no benefit to giving legitimacy to Awkwardinnerjacket's conspiracy theories.

I caught a little of Larry King interviewing A-jad last night. The little I saw seemed like Larry was sucking up to him. Couldn't watch any more. As it is I can't stand Larry King.

When you think your enemy is an asshole who is insane, it's a perfect way to wind up dead. When you make assumptions about reality that may be staged, you open yourself to being blindsided. Assume nothing and expect anything by having no preconceptions.

How is thinking your enemy is an asshole who is insane the perfect way to wind up dead? Generally you keep those kind of people on a shorter leash with guns pointed at them. Your post is stupid.
