US Vendors shipping to UK

Can any of you Americans, Canadians or otherwise find me some US Vendors that will ship to the UK?

More specifically at this time, Im trying to find a website that will ship me an 1800+ T'Bred B so preferrably with manufacturer product codes.

Any store that will ship to the UK is fine, I need a list for those 'must-have' products that our stores are too stupid to sell.

www.outpost.com will post to the UK and reasonable shipping prices but their price for products are not among the cheapest. Do not forget you will have to VAT and import duty.

but then again, bloody nice place

You don't mind the weather....it's freeeezing!. 😀

us brits get taxed on everything.....motorway tax....car tax.....value added tax (doesn't add any value to my bank balance).....air tax......walking down street tax......eating chicken burger tax....etc......

Pro UK:

It does stay relatively warm throughout the year.
Low income tax (yes, even compared to the US).
Rent is slightly more reasonable, when comparing value of the housing to the rent.
Public transportation
Beer with actual alcohol in it
Not as much telemarketing
dabs.com

Con UK:

So wet (at least in Northern England) that moss grows everywhere.
Anything car related.
Recycling is the worst in the world
Sun - the forgotten celestial body
Cars on the left side of the road.
Stressy people
No newegg.com

🙂

tax on earning, tax on spending, tax on saving, tax on investing, tax on inheriting, and now, tax on studying?

But at least our hardware prices are cheaper!
Oh. wait...

but, on topic, because my girlfriend is studying in the US at the moment, I get her to ship me stuff. Although this does lead to worries when i see how she has packed them.

On a related topic, I was thinking of getting on the amazon mx700 deal till i realised that i'd have to change the ac adaptor. Does anyone know if its a standard type, with a standard plug into the charger? Or could I just use some sort of adaptor?

Stop hijacking my Thread please (good excuse for a *bump*)

Newegg.com would be perfect if they shipped to the UK, they have the AMD product code next to the processor so I could get what I wanted easily. Dabs.com do it here but they are stuck in the Palomino-Age.

Whoops....sorry 😉

Dabs are still shipping Palomino's....hmm annoying of them....How can you tell if it's a Palmonio (both online....and on chip)

Corm

You can only tell online if they show the Manufacturer Product Code.

ie. a Palomino 1800+ will be AXDA1800DMT3C. They follow this list.

This code I believe is neatly etched on the core of every AXP. Possibly followed by the Stepping Code (which I havent completely figured out yet.

(another convenient bump)
