US/UK XP Pro

Ok I installed a supposed UK version, can't say I see anything different in here, wasn't sure if there might be the Royal Crest or anything going on, LOL

Sheesh why don't they just, as the English might put it, BLOODY just put on it, -----> "English version". Last time I checked we both where speaking it, LMAO

🙂

Why do you have a UK version in the first place?

As for the difference, I would surmise it is a few 'u's here and there.

Absoluteley nothing. If it says UK version you can change it into the US version easily, this will screw with your keyboard layout a little and change spelling a bit i think.

Also, some versions of XP for European distribution come stripped of Windows Media Player. The EU courts ruled that Microsoft was unfairly bundling the media player with the OS.

Oh I had a copy laying around and wanted to check it out.

It says in the System Properties, Windows XP Professional Reduced Media Edition Service Pack 2.

Reduced, hmm, LOL 😉

Oh well guess there is a difference.

YEAH there is no Windows Media Player, LMAO, not sure if this is a good thing or not, personally I never liked it anyways.

Oh and in "Paint" it says ---> colors haven't seen the Euro version written anywhere and I don't see UK in here yet.

My keyboard seems to be working just fine. 😉
