The current M16 has no full-auto option. It's simply single or three round bursts.

But mister M203 with an HE round should be good enough 😉. A lone man with an AR-15 would have some problems, but between the 3 round burst from everyone in your squad, and the fact that someone in you squad should be lugging around a SAW (it'd be better if he was carrying a M240 rather than a M249, but a M249 would work, too), and at least one guy should have a M203, the lion isn't much of a danger if you can spot him before he spots you.
