US source: North Korean leader in grave danger after surgery

I for one hope that we send aid to NK during this uncertain and trying time for them.

Trumpie already did it at the end of March-a nebulous offer of assistance at least:

Of course at the same time Trump had to be shamed to aid US states, only doing so when Governor Cuomo's "TV ratings" were higher than Trump's.

I feel this is short-sighted, considering the power plays that could be triggered with China or Russia.

It's _possible_ that it won't have much effect on the US, though. Things might hardly change at all in North Korea, or might only change slightly (if there is a small change, it may be for the better...just hope there isn't a chaotic struggle, serious instablity in a country with nuclear weapons is not a cheering prospect...something that strikes me as a future worry for both Pakistan and China)

He probably just read (or had read to him) the briefing on Kim.

I'm just surprised he's managing to not blab about it, although I'm sure he's presumably forwarded it on to Vlad.

I'm sure he is practically hopping up and down and singing/chanting "I know a seee-cret.....I'm not gonna tee-eelll..
Yet stating “I know but cant talk about it... yet” sort of is talking about it. Still as secret intelligence briefings they give Trump this is as good as its gonna get.

No idea whether it's Photoshopped.

It'd be pretty easy to prove he's alive, but so far the NK gov has only released pics that could have been altered pretty easily. Not much different than Turkmenistan saying "See? Our leader is fine. Here's 12 seconds of aerial video of him doing donuts in an SUV. See? Nothing to worry about."

My guesses are either the fat fuck really did kick it, and his sister is still trying to solidify family rule in the face of Chinese reach and generals who are scared shitless they will be executed.

Or, this is like Putin dipping out for a bit to get a face lift. Maybe tubby had extensive lipo along with other procedures, and recovery takes longer when you're a morbidly obese smoker/boozer. I also won't be surprised if it turns out the stint story was correct. As a rule I don't trust any info out of Pyongyang, and no one else should either.

I think the corona lockdown answer is less likely as we're already dealing with an extremely insulated and protected person. Just sounds a little too convenient. We'll see.

He could have also dropped out of sight for a bit and allowed the rumors of his death to circulate to test the reactions of his generals and execute accordingly.

Not official, but it's being reported that he's dead:

I mean, it's Twitter, so take it with a grain of salt, but:

Looks like his sister would take over?

One dude says the successor insecurity could be bad:

Could possibly turn into the new Iraq:

I really hope things change in that country. I went through a phase where I watched a lot of documentaries & stuff on that place...the modern footage out of that country are just horrifying. Those people need some serious help. I never wish death on anyone, but hopefully one way or another things will change for the citizens of North Korea.

actually turning to iraq is better than right now, at least in iraq you have freedom
