The only thing missing from this article is whether or not he was allowed to bring his guns into hotel room. If the hotel has a no guns policy, then Kobach did nothing wrong. If he could have brought his guns into his hotel room I think he should have as that would have been safer.

Besides this I wondered if any other vehicles were broken into. If there weren't why would someone decide to break into that particular random vehicle? Unless they could see the weapons.

This is a case of "proper judgement" and it is clear to me that Kobach is a jackass.
1. It's a Hotel. Anyone who has ever done hotel time should know that hotel parking lots are NEVER to be treated as secure.
2. He is transporting firearms. Common sense, acknowledging the first point the hotel parking are NEVER to be treated as secure, is to confirm the hotels firearm policy prior to Arrival. As far as I know, Drury hotels permit firearms.
3. What the hell is it with people leaving high value items in their vehicle? Its one thing when idiots leave purses and ipads. But firearms? In a hotel lot? WTF?
4. This guy is trying to run for senate yet doesn't have enough common sense understand how Hotels work?

Remember Clinton's "gross negligence" in handling her buttery mails? I'm sure the right will be all over this one too.

The responsible gun owner thing is such horseshit. As soon as one of them fucks up suddenly they were never a responsible gun owner and are disowned by the other nut jobs.

I know. I think I point this out in every relevant thread--glad someone else did. :D

Probably has a gun rack on his freedom truck, which is enough of a signal for any thief to assume pew pew shoot toys can be found inside, even if not in plain view.

Something just occurred to me. Remember Trump's "Election Fraud Commission" - the one where they, led by Kobach, "investigated" whether millions of illegals voted in 2016. Well they never did issue a report of their findings. I think that report must have been stolen out of his car too, either way back then, or else he left it in the footwell of his car all these years and it got stolen along with his guns.
