If you're reading this you probably know that US Robotics does not support OEM modems. Recently, US Robotics has updated their website to include drivers for most OEM modems. Click here, then choose "All other modems."
My USR OEM modem was using poor drivers and connecting at 28.8 on good days even though the icon in the lower right hand corner said 128k! Now I regularly connect between 42k and 48k, which makes the wait for DSL more bearable.
