No, I'm afraid you're wrong. The madness will end when one side is destroyed, or when the Palestinians make an effort toward a peaceful resolution. But the Palestinians will never do that. They don't want peace, they want Israel in ashes. Everyone knows this.

With extremist Palestinians breeding like rabbits to present Israel a demographic fait-accompli, an occasional hunting season is not going to affect their population very much. You DO realize that the only reason the Israeli's can afford a war at all is that they are our single largest aid recipient. In fact, they get about 1/3rd of ALL the foreign aid we disburse world wide, and . . .

The 2nd largest donee is Egypt. Why do we give so much to Egypt? Because they were willing to sign a peace treaty with Israel.
