what's "the net gain of one person"? I'd tend to think that's an immigrant, but they have that listing already :confused:

It means when you take into account all emigration, immigration, births and deaths, you get a net result, which is 1person for every 11 seconds.

Canada's population is also growing. We lose a small ammount to the US, but we more than make up for it in immigration. IIRC about 30 000- 40 000 emigrate while 250 000 immigrate and they might raise the limit to 300 000 soon.
