So I just got back from work and now see that Tiger has done it again haha. Flat out amazing-- one of the best golf championships I have seen in a while! 2 Class Act players in a sudden death is great though! All the respect in the world to both of them.

As I said earlier... AMAZING. I'm so happy that a tournament can bring so much people together to watch greatness. It inspires us and makes us all happy. USGA, oh man, I thank them SO MUCH for doing the live streaming. I had one of the most unproductive days at work, but whocares, I wouldn't have missed this for the world. I used to play hardcore when I was younger, and it makes things more understandable on what these guys must go through to prepare for such tournaments..and prepare for each and every shot.

This is cliche, but I sincerely don't think we'll ever see such a dominant player like Tiger for a long long time. The playing field right now is flooded with so much talent, it's just mindblowing that such a player like Tiger even exists.

I love how this is popularizing the sport as well.

I hated to see it end that way🙁 I wish they could give them both the trophy!

Tiger is a phenom and absolutely unbeleiveable, but this week Rocco is THE MAN!

Holy shit, you're a regular nostradamus. I mean the guy has only won 14 major championships and 65 career wins total.

You really went out on a limb there and schooled us all. Vegas is where you belong...calling the LONG shots.

Eh, I don't know about that. I think Phil Mickleson is 2nd in the world and is a million miles behind Tiger. Vijay is old, Ernie Els hasn't won anything in forever. Who else is there? Appleby always seems to be in the running but never gets it done in the end, same with Furyk. Rocco had a great week (literally a week, 7 straight days of golf) but it's unlikely he'll continue to play like that. Sergio hasn't really stepped up yet. I think Anothony Kim could be really good, but he's not there yet. Who else is there? No one to challenge Tiger it seems.

So how's the field flooded with so much talent?

Even if he's playing against a weak field, what Tiger does is amazing.

He needed 91 holes to better Rocco, not to chump-like IMO...

Don't forget to throw in there 'he needed 91 holes on a bum leg to better Rocco'. 😛

fair enough, the pain was there but he still got to a par 5 in two so he could still
get good juice on it. Great open though, even people who never watch golf were
watching!!.

Just one more thought:

91 holes on a bum leg to better a IIRC 45 yr old golfer with a history of back pain to be precise.

Tiger out for the year. Won US Open with 2 fractures and partial tear of ACL: http://sports.espn.go.com/golf...t=harig_bob&id=3450723

His knee was totally screwed up, not just for the Open either, but for the whole past year. Did I mention he was Amazing?

I'm not too disappointed, he gave us the best golf tournament we'll see in a long long time, and his absence will hopefully bring light to new challengers (but probably not 😛). What would really be a bummer would be if Tiger lost the open and then on top of that was out for a year. But since he won, especially like he did, I can't be too disappointed.
