Huh Customs? She made it through Immigrations and then stopped by Customs. Was there a question on what she was bringing into the country in her luggage? Maybe didn't list all the items on her Custom's form.

Maybe they were suspicious she had a little Somali kid stashed in her luggage.

I've been detained by customs for having too much gold jewelry in my carry on, after a lengthy discussion they believed that I already owned the jewelry and had placed it in my carry on for safe keeping. As well as being detained for having food items in my suitcases. They searched the baggage to determine if the food items were allowed.

Maybe it was about some oranges in her luggage or maybe it was about her legal status as regards entry to the US.

"U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is the largest federal law enforcement agency of the United States Department of Homeland Security. It is charged with regulating and facilitating international trade, collecting import duties, and enforcing U.S. regulations, including trade, customs, and immigration. CBP is the largest law enforcement agency in the United States.[1][2] It has a workforce of more than 45,600 sworn federal agents and officers. It has its headquarters in Washington, D.C.[3]

While its primary mission is preventing terrorists and terrorist weapons from entering the United States, CBP is also responsible for apprehending individuals attempting to enter the United States illegally, including those with a criminal record, stemming the flow of illegal drugs and other contraband, protecting United States agricultural and economic interests from harmful pests and diseases, and protecting American businesses from intellectual property theft.

We don't know why this happened, or where, or when, nor does anyone really remember much about who this lady is, but one thing is for certain and that is that this has to stop now, or continue, depending on what happened.
