Hey folks, check this out:

http://www.internetweather.com/us/index.html

Does that look normal? Houston, Pheonix, Chicago, and a couple other cities are getting pretty high latency right now.

I ask because for a couple hours now I've been cut off from my hosting company. Tracert:

129.250.26.229 is a verio router. the hosting company says its not their fault and that this router is down. pretty wicked.

Anybody else aware/troubled/more knowledgeable about this?

There's a couple of large spikes, but it isn't as big as say the SQL worm earlier this year. The readings may be faulty, we'll just have to wait until the next hour.

The Frontline Notify (for IT people on the front line) email list here at the U of M has been getting spammed with a worm from Brazil. The subject line is something about "Free Pay Per View"...that might have something to do with it.
