20 children get shot in the face and guts and millions of whites lay siege to Walmarts across the country like locusts. I already knew this was a fear based society in this country, but the cowardice of the people is boundless!
One has to wonder if these timid rubes really could pull the trigger against whatever phantom boogeymen that haunt their minds?

I'm starting to wonder just deep in the grip of fear you "good shoots" are in. Lets suppose the perfect chimera army of african communist nazi were actually in your gun sights...could you take the shot? Or would the smell shit fill your bunker?
Also it doesnt help when democrat politicians are lining up to ban scary black rifles, cosmetic features, and limit magazine sizes.

Expanded background checks are supported by a majority. Too bad the democrats muddied the water with wanting to restrict weapons that represent a small % of gun violence. And wanted to ban cosmetic features that have no bearing on the lethalness of the gun.
Exactly. The dear leader and his minions went far beyond just those checks. They paraded sandy hook parents in font of the TV cameras to peddle changes that would have had no impact on the sandy hook case (ie, exploitation for political gain).
The kind of stuff you're setting in CA, NY, IL is proof that all the "they're coming for your guns" nuts were not really nuts, that they were correct all along. That's why everyone is rushing to buy everything now.
Rightwingers always scared of something. Must be a fun life.
The cognitive dissonance of the left is incredible. They claim the right are frightened, but it's the left who are constantly adding more and more regulation because they're afraid of anything that isn't tightly controlled by a bureaucrat.
"We need gun regulation! We need medical regulation! We need banking regulation! We need everything regulated because we're scared of everything!"

I'll give you that excessive gun regulation is a fear reaction. Medical regulation isn't due to fear but because of the ever increasing price of and, until recently, inaccessibility of medical treatment. Also are you seriously going to call the left out for medical regulation and ignore the right's constant attempts to force women's medical decisions to be made for them? And if you don't think banking regulation is a good idea I invite you to read heavily about September and October of 2008 and what happens when we let banks get away with anything. Banking regulation isn't about fear, it's about history.
Tell me again why you support gun control?
So the mentally ill and felons don't get guns.
You're right. Actual support for those checks was much higher than just the percentage of people living in those states.
It was about as close to a unanimous endorsement for any policy as you will ever see.
Yeah, it's just that people didn't given enough of a shit to vote on it. Except for gun owners.
Opinion is meaningless unless people act on it.
And how the government goes about things. Universal background checks? Ehhh....not in favor of it, but its just a 30 second phone call. Not a huge deal. Then the legislation comes out and its 1200 pages, costs $400 million and somehow illegal immigrants can now get free zucchinis on Thursdays.
