Wife is a banker. The Japanese have a holiday and she's off. Anyone mentions holiday and she's off.

I want to say I get ten off, plus my normal three weeks of vacation. For every holiday I work I earn sixteen hours of comp time to be used whenever, so I usually work them.

I get 8 extra for carrying a pager and 16 if I have to come in. Works out to an extra week of vacation for carrying a pager on holidays. The only clients who call are from Canada and they are super nice.

wtf is this employee's bday you guys keep getting. I'm jelly.

I usually get my birthday off (December 26th).

I was well into my 30's before I had to work on my birthday (Obviously, I never had to go to school on my birthday).

a metric fucking shit ton. because i work for an international company, a french one at that, they try to give us extra holidays off to keep up with how many days off from work our European counter-parts get. So I get Canadian holidays off as well to make up for it. I believe I had MLK day off this year.

Oh, I forgot: I take off Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur (if on a weekday), but they are not subtracted from my vacation days.

If any fall on the weekend, might miss a day off. I'm taking Monday but might work 1/2.
