Concentration is defined as "the relative amount of a given substance contained within a solution or in a particular volume of space; the amount of solute per unit volume of solution". If a state has the highest concentration of food stamps users, it means they contain the highest percentage of them relative to the total population of that given state.

But definitions aside, if you're going to randomly make statements about how the South DOESN'T use up incredible amounts of welfare resources and make sarcastic comments with the fucking rolleyes emoticons, then do some actual research to back it up your statements. Don't just take one vaguely worded sentence to back up your reputation and argument, especially if it flies in the face of what we all know to be true, that Southern/more Republican leaning states use up more federal money per capita than their more Democratic couterparts.

Well, to be fair, the article doesn't define all the relevant parameters of the concentration, so neither of us are right. My argument was based on the statistics provided in that there ChicagoTribune article, and since they were incorrect (as any individual from such a large city is likely to be), a suppose there may be truth in your argument. However, at the same time you are still stereotyping. Look at the USA map thing. Wyoming is probably the most rural and right-wing state in the nation yet they have by far the lowest consumption of food stamps. Furthermore, it's not just a state issue. What are the cities with the most food stamp usage? In fact, what are the political leanings of the individuals using food stamps? Way to show your prejudice.

EDIT: Oh yeah, and look at Oregon and New Mexico and Michigan, you blue state scumbag. I suppose next you're going to say "Well, there isn't a direct correlation between political party membership and use of welfare services". WELL, NO SHIT. I'm not attacking Democrats either as there are undoubtedly many honorable ones. Just look at California on that map. But you trying to create such a ridiculous relationship between the two is pure unadulterated bigotry.

Wasn't it back during the subprime mortgage crisis were these so-called rating agencies rating investment and banking institutions triple AAAs as well? And people still think they are credible?

That, in a nutshell was/is the reason for our current situation, home mortgages were always highly rated as lenders required one to qualify for a reasonable amount to borrow AND checked up on your application, I bought my house in 1993 and the approval process took 3 weeks, they were giving loans in 3 hours to people with no verification of anything and letting people buy a home they could in no way afford. This real-estate "bubble" caused a lot of borrowing as well as existing homeowners used their houses as ATM's to pay for toys, collage tuition, ect. Just a huge house of cards that HAD to collapse at some point..

Obama stated raising the ceiling would have gotten us out of this mess and away from a downgrade, and he was flat out WRONG. S&P stated as much. Even if we raised revenue (tax hikes in a recessions... srsly!?), it wasn't addressing the reasons behind the downgrade.

And the Bush tax cuts? Fucking please... that's like looking for pennies in the couch to pay your mortgage.

The Teabaggers never put anything meaningful forward. The Ryan plan was a fairy tale joke, probably drafted for him by the Koch brothers.

Their only answer is to "shrink" the government, but only in the areas they want. No shrinking of our out of control defense budget at all. Ohh and lower taxes MORE even though they are very low, because the rich will lead us to victory, even though they were the ones offshoring.

The Bush tax cuts would have been a start. That would have put in ~1tr in cuts for the decade. All we needed was another $50bn/yr and we would have met their $4TR to keep the AAA. We could have cut 10% off of defense's budget and made it.

But hey, penny foolish, pound foolish.
