Nothing says class like bringing your own musical instrument to a sporting event.

This shit is apparently a South African "tradition." And yay, guess where World Cup 2010 is being held.

Despite the loss, it was a good showing for the US. Good building block for World Cup 2010 should the US qualify.

while im sure theyre a world ahead of the US, still, theyre not as good as they used to be. Last couple of games I caught (and its been several months ago) their playing was a little sloppy and slower than what it used to be.

I missed the game, just got home, oh well.

disappointing loss, but an excellent overall performance in the confed cup.

what do people think of alexi lalas? I think he's doing a great job in the studio.

Going up 2-0 is like a death sentence in soccer, it shouldn't matter how much better another team should be at this stage in a tourney or league...which is why most Americans much prefer other sports that allow for such exciting finishes/comebacks similar to what Brazil accomplished today...only they happen far more often, as like I said, just about any lead at any point in the game of soccer is enough to statistically determine a winner.

I was at the US/Honduras game in Chicago, and this game was that game in reverse.
US was sluggish in the first half, but dominated the 2nd to win.

I blame Bradley somewhat:

1) You CAN'T sit back on your heels and try to defend against Brazil, and that's what the US tried to do in the 2nd half. It turned into an offensive scrimmage for Brazil. He should have kept attacking and hoped for another counter attack goal.

2) the substitutions were way late. Altidore in particular was overmatched and should have come out at halftime.

Good job in the first half though. And congrats to Brazil; they are the best team in the world.
