URGENT-VIRUS-NEED HELP

My syscfg32 (windows XP) file on my second computer just got infected with Backdoor.Sdbot. What I want to know is, is there any way I can just use a re-install/repair install/system restore to get rid of it, or do I HAVE to do ANOTHER reformat (Just did one about a week ago for an unrelated problem, about a week after upgrading and getting it set up)...?

OK, I did what was there in the registry...but couldn't find the file (?). Not even with a search, including hidden files and folders. After I restarted my computer, with those registry changes done, NAV shut up. I'm gonna do a full system scan today, hopefully all is well. For some reason, I had my internet security in Zonealarm on low on that computer....I have learned my lesson. Hopefully all is well with it.
