Ok, so I ordered a D-Link 704 router Monday to hook up my two computers and let them both use DSL at the same time. Today,
a friend tells me that USB DSL modems are not compatible with routers. is this true? Is it impossible to connect a USB DSL modem
to any router at all, or is it just some of them? Quick replies would very greatly appreciated, because I may have to cancel my order
post-haste.

Are there any other alternatives using the router I ordered? Such as some sort of RJ45/USB adapter? Anything like that? Thanks for any replies.

Unfortunately, there is no such adaptor - Think of it as a power cord and a garden hose. No matter WHAT you do to put 'em together, you're just not going to get them to talk.
