Hi there, I live in Canada and everything is set for my trip to Hong Kong in 17 days. I didn't check my passport, which I JUST did, and figured out it was expired two months ago. I searched google but I couldn't find any way to do it. Can anyone PLEASE help?!

EDIT: Forgot to add that I passed the Canadian citizenship test in May. I called a month ago asking when my Canadian passport will arrive. He asked me whether I want it before I go back to Hong Kong or after I come back. I said after. I'm going to call tomorrow to see what they can do. Is it possible that I not sing the oath and take the passport and sing when I'm back?

EDIT#2: I'm willing to pay whoever that figures out a solution for me right now.

lol you are screwed!! no Hong Kong trip 4 U.....no Belize embassy in Canada that can issue temporary travel documents???

I'd say everything is not set, and you won't be going to Hong Kong. Even in the states the minimum time by mail is like 2 weeks, if you go to an office it might be done faster, but nothing is guaranteed, and it's by appointment only.

Getting a new Belize passport when you're in Canada? Probably a month or two at least. Perhaps they'll be fine with a birth certificate?

I'm not quite sure what your situation is exactly, but in the states, there are companies that can help you get your passport VERY quicky, but also VERY expensive... Obviously, the faster the more expensive....

You should look into these companies... anything should be cheaper than losing the money for the HK plane tickets though.

GL!

what do you mean it'll be fine with a birth certificate?

That is completely dependant on the host/aborad state relationship

U.S. and Candian peoples can pull off a birth-certificate-only entrance ( ijsut did a few eeks ago 😀) but I don't it is that simple with a country like China

Canadians & Aermicans will soon need passports to get across the borders. I know as a Canadian citizen........ next year (I think around august) I will need a passport to drive across the border to the US.

Wait, why did I have to have a passport when I through the border in 2000? This was the border between The Yukon and Alaska mind you.

Heh, now that I read that, I guess you cant really answer the question. It's more rethorical then anything else.
