I was messing around, installing OSX on my external HD on its own partition (30GB) of my 1TB drive. Somehow or another, I messed up something, and now my 900GB partition doesn't show up in OSX, Windows or Linux anymore as anything. I DIDNT format it, just messed with the MBR I think.... and Windows sees it as a "RAW" partition, whatever that means.

How do I get it back?

(Timewarp, OP is caveman017)

1) Don't write ANYTHING to the drive.
2) R-Studio
3) Copy everything off of the drive to another one.

or

2) Wait until someone posts a freeware option, if there are any available.
Who knows, maybe you can download Knoppix Linux, boot off of that, and see if it can see the partition.

3) Maybe there's a utility that can repair the partition tables.

Ive used Diskpatch which is better because it will fix the partition table so you don't have to recover all the files to another location. It boots from a CD, then you can scan your HDD for lost partition tables and repair them. There a step by step guide. Unfortunately it's not free.
