I dual boot RH Linux 6.1 and lilo is the boot loader. Well, I was trying to reinstall linux, but it wouldn't automatically overwrite its data, so I had to manually destroy its partitions using partition magic. Little did I know lilo would still be there in the master boot record. I have no idea how to edit the MBR and remove the lilo config or whatever that makes it load at start up. Please help.

Get a Win9x boot disk that has fdisk on it. Boot up and type:

fdisk /mbr

This will wipe LILO out of your MBR and restore the Win9x loading scheme.
