URGENT HELP NEEDED WITH SOUNDCARD!!

Windows installed fine with plenty of apps, but I didn't install any sound drivers because I was going to get an audigy.

Got the audigy and popped it in... and drivers went in okay, but no little icon in the corner and no sound. I went to control panel, and the sound options says no audio device wTF???

So, I uninstall drivers, take out the audigy, and activate the realtek audio in the bios. Install the realtek drivers on the MOB CD and they install fine, even get the mixer, but still no sound.... and again, the audio thingy in the control panel says no audio device....

Finally, went to store bought live 24bit and installed that, same deal with it being detected, drivers going in well etc... but no sound.... and no audio device. I need some help here peeps.

Dumb question, but I've never had to install and Audigy so I don't know if there's a trick to installation... did you follow the manual's instructions exactly when trying to get it to work?
