Urgent ...Hard Drive Partitioning Help

Tomm college starts and before i leave i would like to resolve a problem. I have a 30 gig 5400 rpm Western Digital Hard Drive...some wacko worked on my sisters computer and partitioned it like 8 times so now 8 drives show up. Is there a way i can remove some of the unused partitions without harming the contents of the hard drive because there is so much valuable information. Somebody mentioned to me parition magic...is there a way to get this without paying and how can i use this???

Maybe try the web site and see if they have a free demo one you could try, but PQ Magic would work

For free you could use the fdisk utility (located in c:\windows\command if you run win9x) to delete the partitions you don?t need. JUST MAKE SURE YOU DONT DELETE THE PARTITION WITH YOUR DATA ON IT. You could then create a new partition in the free space. To be able to change the size of the partition you would need something like Partition Magic which is not available free legally.
