So I have thick, asian hair. The problem with it was best put by something I read on another site:
My hair is 3 inches long on the top and about .75 inches long on the sides. With the thickness the sides stick out straight out and it sucks. I don't want to wait to grow out long hair allover but don't want to be constantly plagued by this crap.
I'm gonna get my haircut tomorrow morning and would like some advice as to what to ask for. Usually after most haircuts my hair looks good but it grows fast and sticks out noticeably again. Anyway I'm sure there are a lot of other asian people who know what I'm talking about and perhaps a few stylists who could offer some good advice.
Thanks
Like many asian people, I am at the mercy of a "straight as a homophobic trucker" single gene dominant trait that makes my hair grow straight out of my head until gravity comes along and bends it toward the earth. Basically, until it's a good three and a half inches long, it sticks up in a way that doesn't look accidental enough to be hip, leaving me with a half inch to three inch danger zone
