Urgent - DVD drive shot, need to install Win 7 from .iso tonight!

Guys, I really need to install Win 7 tonight, but my DVD drive is shot. I don't wanna install from within the OS (I could do so by mounting the .iso on a virtual drive with Daemon Tools), as I want to boot from the Win 7 disk and format the hard disk so that I get a nice clean install. So like I said, I got someone to make me an .iso file of the disk, but how do I boot from it? Or is there some other way to format and install from that .iso? Please help asap!

If you have a USB flash drive that's 4GB or larger that you can spare (i.e. format), you can use the Windows 7 USB/DVD Download Tool to load the installation files onto the flash drive. From there, leave the flash drive plugged in, reboot the system, and select it as your boot device.

Install away. HTH.

they make external drives. borrow one. i have an old pata pioneer drive hooked up to an hold external usb pata box cause the drive died. ghetto as all heck - cost $0 FTW
