URGENT: Do I tip or not?

I'm leaving my car with the dealership's service dept. The dealer will provide transportation to the airport.

Do I tip the guy who's driving me to the airport? If yes, how much?

I would have been reimbursed for airport parking and mileage had I driven myself, so it's not saving me any money.

Hell no.

hahaha you can have so much fun with this.

Tell the driver you will tip him like $5 if you get him there in a time less than it would normally take.

Kick back and enjoy the ride.

I currently work for a dealership and can tell you that the shuttle drivers don't ask for a tip, nor expect it. They do however leave a cup in the console and some people do leave them tips, but they really don't expect it.

Hmm, I guess if he's a nice guy (strikes up convo, isn't a weirdo, etc) then you can if you want, but in no way should you feel obligated to leave a tip.

You should also tip anyone who posts in this thread.

Buy low, sell high, and don't fear the reaper.

Anyway, I didn't see a tip 'jar' and I did not tip. The driver was the miscellaneous shop guy who does all the odd jobs for the service dept. He's currently going to some kind of automotive school. Crazy driver (New Yorker)--I feared for my life, but obviously, I made it to the airport. Now what do I do with all my bodily liquids??

Yes. Also tip the person who checks your luggage at the counter. Also tip every TSA employee you see for ensuring the safety of your flight. Also tip the stewardess on the airplane for bringing you your complementary drink and snack. Also make sure to tip the pilot and co-pilot on your way out.

😉
