I have Verizon DSl as most of us know they were just created after a merge. Since I got the service back in June 2000 I have been having minor disconnect and desync issues. They resolved them that time by switching my GSP. Now I'm just having alot and frequent problems, now I get static and distortion on the phone and the DSL is disconnecting more often and also the bandwith is less than a 56k modem @ 3K.
When I called the second time the Tech rep told me it was my modem and that it was old and I needed a new one. He said Verizon wouldn't cover me on this I had to have a chat with Westell ( the maker of the modem ).
Here is what is going on. When I turn on the modem I get beeps and high pitched noises. If anyone knows what this means please tell me I need to know so I kow what my next move is from here. My Dsl modem a Westell is connected to my PC with a 3COM Nic if that helps anyone.
