Budget Max of 20k( Try to quote less than that)

My usage is day to day computing and browsing.

Intel Pentium Dual core E2180 or AMD Dual core 4200+ and what ever compatible motherboard for the above said.

No need of graphic card, speakers.

Which UPS??? APC seems to be expensive. Suggest some other brand.

Which cabinet with PSU???? try to make it around 1.2k

Monitor: 17" LCD... But which brand??? Samsung is the best but expensive. what else????
Acer, LG .....

Budget of 20k? For a "Budget PC"?
I'm afraid to see what the budget becomes when you want a full fledged "Gaming PC"..

For 20k, get whatever the heck it is you'd like lol.
If that's a typo, correct it first. And this should be under General Hardware I think.

You must mean $2000 US dollars not 20000 correct? Guys with a monitor, UPS etc. YOu can't touch all that for $500.

We need clarification please. While I love AMD forget them, get an Intel you get so much more for free. I'd look at a Gigabyte P35-DS3L for the board. Or that Abit IP35 is only $59 after $30 rebate. Both should allow overclocking (huge for gigabyte) but I like the gigabyte for all Solid caps. I prefer the 2160 because you can flop it on 1333FSB for an even 3ghz without touching anything but voltage. With retail heatsink that is. Where the 2180 has to get to 3.2 on retail. Still doable but not as easy as 3.0 for E2160. No gaming? Not a business PC? You don't know what your missing with the games pal 🙂 I guess you could look at an nvidia based board for cheap video on board. But I still prefer a card and the D3SL board no matter what. It's guaranteed long life with solid caps and with these cpu's you're talking you will want it around for a cheapo penryn based chip later. I imagine a 4ghz+ 1600fsb chip on this board at 32nm shrink! We hit that now. At 32nm you'll probably pick up a dual 4ghz for like $120 in a year and overclock it to 5ghz...LOL.

17in should be illegal. 🙂 Do they still sell those? J/K. Just make sure you get 3yr parts and labor. I'm still at a loss here with the $$ amount. If it's really 2000 then I say 22in no matter what. Even a 19in kills a 17. You have to live with it for 5years probably. A good 19in is only $160, an Acer 22in at newegg is only $219/229. My sister loves hers. 1200 reviews between 2 models don't like. It's 5eggs. 🙂 More info please on money.

Explain the Cabinet/PSU 1.2k deal also. Are we talking a 1200watt PSU and case? Can't be. I'm confused even more.
