first, I don't know **** about baseball so here goes...

Need to buy sf giants crap for cousin's visit like "lincecum" shirt/jershey/hats. Where is a good place to buy these things I'm guessing the store right next to the ballpark is a tourist trap/ripoff. I live in sf and have a few days to get this done

Why do you need to buy giants stuff?

If you don't know shit about baseball then don't buy it because you're obviously not a fan.

cousin is a huge fan and I'm short on time because its a surprise visit for a few days. cousin lives out of the country so...

Do you know exactly what your cousin wants? If it's generic stuff like a giants shirt/jersey/hat any big sports store should have them. Lincecum specific things should be pretty common too right now.

Do some internet research so that you know what a good price should be.

One thing about the stores near the stadium, they'll have what you want. Beats going to a dozen places to see what's in stock. No idea about SF, but here in NYC not everything is a ripoff. Know your prices.

So why do YOU have to buy stuff? Is this a gift?

why do you care? is your internet police siren gong off the charts or something?

OP, I'm sure there are places that aren't near the ballpark. look around. You should know the city as well as anyone else here, if not moreso.

besides, any one of those stores is going to cost more than what you can find on ebay--I believe this is where most people get this type of sports gear. but you seem to be time-limited.

Amazon + Amazon prime?

yea looks like I might have to go to the stores near the ballpark, I never really paid I attention to them since I'm not interested in baseball. Couldn't find much at amazon but I'll keep checking. thanks anyways.

You want to send your cousin back to China (or where ever) with cheap Chinese-made knock-off products?

I'm sure if you hit the myriad of vendors by Pier 39, you can find lots of "Linescum" shirts and such...otherwise, MOST shopping malls have dedicated sports team apparel shops. Check your yellow pages directory.

There's a particular site (that ships from china) that has excellent authentic knockoffs (at least for football jerseys, they have baseball as well though) for ~$40 each. I honestly can't tell the difference and I have a jersey that I paid over $200 for on NFL.com.

But, shipping takes 2 weeks or so...
