Uptime for Win98 machine?

is there a way to tell the uptime for windows98 machine? or is there any software that will track it for me? i know there was an irc client that had the option to broadcast your machine's uptime and stuff... but i just want to know if there is a simple way to obtain this little bit of info. 🙂

Since it's Win98 just make note of every time you reboot it, shouldn't be hard to remember since you'll be rebooting every few days =)

Start->Programs->Accessories->System Tools->System Information
Uptime information should be the fourth listing on the column on the right.
Unlike Nothinman, I claim this OS is as stable (if using the right software) as ANY MS operating system. Now thats not saying a LOT, but my wife's PC is usually good for 45+ days and my spare PC does 40+ days with ease. Ohh yea, I reboot ..... to update my antivirus dats !!!! Other than that ... flawless. THE Win98 OS gets a bad rap since everyone loads up so much crap software on it and wonders why things don't work.

Well, that's half the point.
Crappy userland software should have little to no impact on the stability of the OS.
User software shouldn't be able to crash the OS.

Win 98 is a strange animal, I have 4 machines all with 98se installed 2 of these machines are identical (crack boxes for SETI) 1 crashes about once a week and the other will go for 2 to 3 months without a reboot. I have 1 machine with a athalon 1.2 that has been up for 6 months without a crash. Windows is not a very reliable OS because it is so unpredictable. My machines run 24 - 7.

I hadn't mentioned this, but I run Win 98 original, and all of my PC friends have 98SE. They had the usual problems with it (shutdown and OE problems) but mine seems to have missed out on all those wonderful "features" 😕
Leave it to MS to degrade the stability of an OS via patches .. oops, forgot to mention the current XP patch problems .. HaH
