Upside Down Flag

There's this house in my neighborhood that a guy (don't know him) has a US Flag hanging Updside Down in his room. It's a huge flag and there are no blinds on the window so it's clearly visable from the front sidewalk when I'm walking my dog in the evening.

Hmm, I guess (after reading up on it) that it's not disrespectful... anyone else seen upside down flags or have them hanging that way?

Weird.

Upside down flags are suppose to be a sign of distress (or something like that)

It is a sign of distress, though I think people also do it out of pure disrespect for the USA.

Perhaps his wife is beating the living crap out of him? Why don't you go over and ask if he's ok.

Maybe someone should call the FBI. Imagine if you could help bring the neighbor to justice.

There are a lot of white separatists in northern Idaho who fly the US flags upside down.

When Jorge Mas Canosa died, November 23, 1997 the Lincoln Marti Schools directed all their locations to fly their oversized American Flags inverted. My neighbor went across the street to see what was wrong. He left shaking his head when heard why!

This is in S.Florida, I Don't think it's a terrorist though. Looks more like a rebellious teen because the other wall you can see from outside has some band's poster on it [edit] pretty sure I remember now, it was a Bob Marley poster. [/edit]

Jorge Mas Canosa financed the bombing the first commercial jetliner in history. A Cuban in Miami paid for the destruction of the Cuban Olympic fencing team among the other 73 dead. This happened on 06 Otober 1976. Luis Posada Carriles and Dr. Orlando Bosch decided, unlike the Osama Bin Ladin operatives, not to accompany the flight to destruction. :|

Yup, up here in Canada we had a fit when the US Marines flew our flag upside down one year during the World Series when Toronto was in town. Hehe, the Jays then proceeded to win 2 years in a row!

I dont get it, so all teens who listen to music are rebellious even if they are trying to show distress?
