Is there a way to disable the loud beep on a UPS when it goes active ?

On my CyberPower UPS, I open up their PowerPanel software that I've installed on my PC, and go into Configure > Notification. There's a "UPS Alarms" option that I can turn on or off to control the device's audible alarm.

Same thing on my APC UPS using Powerchute software.

XavierMace is correct - it depends on the UPS. Good ones that come with software and a USB link seem to.

I can mute mine with a hardware button press, or the software allows me to do it that way. Just depends on the model what options are available. I'd imagine most have the ability.
